Fish In Water is a thoughtfully curated digital guide designed for travelers who want to experience Turkey without exaggeration — genuine, honest, and culturally respectful. Its purpose is not only to inform but also to inspire visitors by offering an authentic and meaningful journey through the country’s stories, places, and people.

At Basework, we developed a carefully crafted, performance-driven, and user-friendly website that captures this authentic spirit and presents it through a seamless digital experience.

The main goal of the project was to design a platform where content takes center stage — presented clearly, elegantly, and without distraction. We managed both the front-end development and content management system (CMS) processes end-to-end to create a structure that is both scalable and easy to maintain.

The website was built on a modular CMS architecture, allowing the Fish In Water editorial team to easily manage guides, blog posts, and articles. The system enables quick content creation, updates, and media management, empowering the team to keep the platform dynamic and relevant.

On the front-end, we focused on simplicity and clarity. A clean typographic hierarchy, generous spacing, and smooth transitions were implemented to enhance the reading experience. The visual approach was built around the idea of being a “companion,” not just a guide — warm, intuitive, and easy to navigate.

To enrich storytelling, we designed fluid animations and interactive elements that give depth to the content and create an emotional rhythm throughout the browsing journey. These subtle interactions make the platform feel alive, yet never distract from the essence of the stories being told.

From a technical perspective, we implemented extensive Core Web Vitals optimization, ensuring fast loading times, responsive performance, and a consistent experience across all devices.
